Toolbox talk record

A toolbox talk without a signed record is a conversation; with one, it is documented safety training. Use this form to capture the topic, key points, what the crew raised, and who attended. Pair it with any talk from our free bilingual library.

Common questions

Are toolbox talks required by OSHA?

OSHA requires training on the hazards of the work; it does not set a universal talk frequency. Many GCs require weekly talks, and daily on higher-hazard work. The signed record is what proves the training happened.

Does the talk have to be in Spanish for Spanish-speaking crews?

Training must be in a language the workers understand. If the crew speaks Spanish, deliver it in Spanish; our talk library has the same content in English and Spanish so everyone gets the same talk.

Need the talks themselves? Over 100 free bilingual toolbox talks, each with a discussion guide and sign-in sheet.

Forms record what happened on the job; the JHA, safety plan, or written program is what a GC, prequal portal, or inspector asks to see. Generate a verified, job-specific one in minutes.
